The main goal of The Sentinel Center is to improve patient outcomes across all aspects of alcohol-related emergencies, and emergency medicine as a whole. We believe that by improving care pathways and education in an attempt to limit alcohol-related revisits, we can drastically improve the outcomes of said patients as well as strongly benefit healthcare system and emergency department work flows and care.
The Sentinel Center currently operates through partnerships with local organizations and healthcare systems to actively research alcohol-related emergencies and their outcomes. Our goal is to improve pathways of care through immersive education within these healthcare systems, helping patients, hospitals, and communities.
No, The Sentinel Center is not a hospital and currently does not offer direct clinical care or treatment. Our focus is on integration with healthcare systems to promote increased education and care pathway ideas for alcohol-related emergencies. SARET does however, have long-term goals of expansion into regions across the United States and eventually delivering clinical care at our own hospital sites and outpatient centers.
While The Sentinel Center primarily focuses on care and treatment of alcohol-related emergencies, we also conduct research on other types of emergency medicine, such as stroke response times, optimal hospital geography, and trauma levels/hospital capabilities of hospitals in different areas across the country. Our focus at The Sentinel Center is to improve any and all aspects of healthcare possible, and highlight the trickle down effects of beginning with alcohol-related emergency care.
The Sentinel Center currently operates in New England, primarily Connecticut, as well as with with organizations in New York City. Stay tuned on our website and our social media for news about upcoming partnerships and collaborations.
